Amanda is a senior double majoring in English and Environmental Science. She has an acute fascination for maps and is still mourning the loss of J.D. Salinger.
Heather Lynn Brady
Heather Brady is an English major concentrating in Creative Writing in her senior year at the University of Mary Washington. She is News Editor of the Mary Washington Bullet, the campus newspaper, and has worked for the Free Lance-Star as a reporter in the newsroom. Her favorite female author is J.K. Rowling, for her accurate portrayal of women as female characters in her Harry Potter series. Her favorite place to visit is El Progreso, Honduras. She loves snarky comments, strong women and coffee (only the Fair Trade approved kind, of course).
Erin is a senior English and Creative Writing major. She is active as the poetry editor for Aubade, Mary Washington’s literary journal, a mentor in the Young Women’s Leadership Program and a member of Student Anti-Violence Educators. After graduation she hopes to pursue a career in non-profit work with women’s organizations. In the words of Feminist Hulk, “HULK SMASH PATRIARCHY!”
Megan Malecha is a senior at the University of Mary Washington concentrating on Creative Writing. She will graduate with a B.A. in English in December 2010. Megan lives in Fredericksburg, VA full-time and plans to attend graduate school for a Masters of Education in the future.
Emily is a senior double majoring in Spanish and English with a Creative Writing concentration at the University of Mary Washington. She has been a big supporter of women’s rights and social justice ever since she first read Tamora Pierce’s Tortall series in middle school.
